System Administrator

Typical Functions
  • Performs duties involving development, testing, implementation and maintenance of server operating system(s) and related software solutions.
  • Interfaces and coordinates daily with internal ASC and external technical teams supporting the enterprise IT Infrastructure.
  • Manages, monitors and maintains servers, operating systems and other interfaced components (eg network, applications and sites) regularly to ensure reliability, security, optimization and consistent levels of expected performance.
  • Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software according to ASC directed specifications and parameters.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, operating system and networking problems.
  • Schedules, performs and monitors system backups and performs data recoveries when necessary.
  • Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts.
  • Performs resource and user activity monitoring and reviews logs to identify performance degradations and anomalies.
  • Supports evaluations, develop, acquisition, installation, and maintenance of ASC IT systems and services.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Server 2008 certification
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Security+ certification
  • Security Clearance or able to obtain before starting
