Department of Interior -Acquisition Cohort (AC 1-4)


Description of Duties:

 Direct federal contracting experience demonstrating familiarity and understanding of both industry and business practices, procurement, contracting policies and methods. Working knowledge and experience with the contract pre-award and post-award processes, pre-award contract requirements, required contract documentation, familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and applicability. Experience with performing contract administration and contract pre-closeout actions. Ability and experience to perform contract preparation and documentation to include, at a minimum: Statements of Work/Performance Work Statements (SOW/PWS), contract modifications, supporting procurement documents, Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Determination & Findings (D&F), Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP), documentation of contractor performance and/or areas of concern. Ability to perform all functions provided in description of duties under general supervision of Senior Acquisition Specialists. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written with internal and external customers to include peers and Government leadership.


Education, Experience & Training Requirements 


  • Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s or 3 or more years of education in a baccalaureate program

CON 091 - Contract Fundamentals

FAC 023 - GSA Schedules

CON 100 - Shaping Smart Business Arrangements 



Experience:


  •  Acquisition Cohort Entry (AC1)- Completed the 12-month Contractor's Certification Program (CCP)


  •  Acquisition Cohort Junior (AC2)- Completed the 12-month CCP and 1 year of experience at the Acquisition Cohort Entry


  •  Acquisition Cohort Mid-Level (AC3) - Completed the 12-month CCP and 2 years of experience that includes 1 year at the Acquisition Cohort Junior


  • Acquisition Cohort Senior (AC4) - Completed the 12-month CCP and 3 years of experience that includes 1 year at the Acquisition Cohort Mid-Level
