Mark Thornton has 34 years of experience as an IT professional spanning a 20 year active duty career in the U.S Air Force and 13 years serving as a contractor supporting the DoD and Intelligence Community. As the Director of Sedona Technologies Government Services (STGS), he is responsible to the STGS Vice President for the sustainment and expansion of the STGS line of business. As such he oversees overall daily operations and activities associated with all phases of the government acquisition life cycle. Prior to STGS, Mark worked for a number of small and large companies (e.g. SAIC, CSC, McClendon, AOC-Key Solutions) in various senior technical, business development (to include capture management and proposal support), and operational positions. He believes corporate success is measured (and can only be achieved) through customer satisfaction, and that it is our role to integrate the needs and requirements of our government clients, partners, and employees with the needs, resources, and capabilities of STGS. As a senior leader with both corporate and government operational experience, Mark works to bridge the gap and align the technical, corporate, and customer perspective in everything we do at STGS. Through-out his career, he has also served in a number of technical positions such as network engineer, systems engineer, systems integrator, project manager, and special projects. He currently has his Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL Expert level certification.
