System Administrator
Typical Functions
- Performs duties involving development, testing, implementation and maintenance of server operating system(s) and related software solutions.
- Interfaces and coordinates daily with internal ASC and external technical teams supporting the enterprise IT Infrastructure.
- Manages, monitors and maintains servers, operating systems and other interfaced components (eg network, applications and sites) regularly to ensure reliability, security, optimization and consistent levels of expected performance.
- Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software according to ASC directed specifications and parameters.
- Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, operating system and networking problems.
- Schedules, performs and monitors system backups and performs data recoveries when necessary.
- Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts.
- Performs resource and user activity monitoring and reviews logs to identify performance degradations and anomalies.
- Supports evaluations, develop, acquisition, installation, and maintenance of ASC IT systems and services.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Server 2008 certification
- BS/BA Degree
- Security+ certification
- Security Clearance or able to obtain before starting
